Hong Kong Director: "They Want to Destroy My Career"

Award-winning Hong Kong film-maker Kiwi Chow says authorities are punishing him for his political views. His new film was recently rejected by official censors. In Hong Kong, public criticism of the government or the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) is now rare. Chow, 46, is one of the few who still speaks openly. "The Chinese Communist party’s practice is to try and destroy history and truth," the director said from his home. He added it was "ridiculous" he could still live in Hong Kong without being jailed. Chow believes the censorship of his film is a direct attempt to damage his professional life.
