UTSA head coach Jeff Traylor attempted a famous sideline escape. It did not go as planned. After his Roadrunners defeated FIU 57-20, Traylor's players prepared the traditional victory celebration: dumping a large cooler of water on their coach. Seeing it coming, Traylor tried to run. He was quickly caught by his team. Players dumped the water over him anyway, then joyfully tackled him into a celebratory dog pile on the field. The sequence provided a lighthearted moment after a decisive conference win for UTSA.
