Russian Drone Strikes Kyiv Student Dorm as Residents Sleep

A Russian "Shahed" drone struck a university dormitory in Kyiv early Wednesday, hitting an empty room while students slept nearby. The attack targeted a dormitory of Ukraine's National Aviation University just before morning alarms were set to sound, according to Ukrainian media. The explosive drone hit the building's ninth floor. The specific room was unoccupied at the time of the impact. Students in adjacent rooms were unharmed, narrowly spared from the blast.
