A bombing at a mosque in Syria's capital has killed at least eight people and wounded 18 others.
The explosion happened inside the building during evening prayers on Wednesday. Images from Syria's state-run news agency showed the aftermath. Blood stained prayer carpets, and the force of the blast left holes in walls and shattered windows. Fire damage was also visible.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. The mosque is located in a southern neighborhood of Damascus.
Emergency crews rushed to the scene to help the wounded. Syrian state media reported that security forces have started an investigation.
