Police in Texas have released shocking surveillance footage of a theft. The video shows thieves using a stolen SUV to rip an entire ATM machine from a store.
The incident happened early Wednesday morning at a convenience store. Authorities say the criminals first stole a sports utility vehicle.
They then attached a chain from the SUV to the automated teller machine. By driving forward, they ripped the cash machine from its foundation inside the store.
This method of theft is sometimes called a "pull-and-run" or "smash-and-grab" ATM robbery. Police are now investigating the crime. They have asked the public for help identifying the suspects.
No information was released about how much money was in the machine.
