Israeli forces fired shells and machine-gun rounds into southern Syria on Friday morning, according to local sources.
The attack targeted the Tal al-Ahmar al-Sharqi area in the Quneitra countryside. Sources state that three shells were launched from Israeli positions in the nearby Tal al-Ahmar al-Gharbi area, supported by medium-caliber gunfire.
A reporter for Syria's state news agency, SANA, confirmed the incident from Quneitra. The reporter stated that no civilian casualties resulted from the attack.
Quneitra province lies along the ceasefire line with the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights. The area has seen repeated incidents of fire across the frontier.
