Italy has delivered 25 tons of urgent humanitarian aid to Sudan. The supplies arrived at Port Sudan Airport on Tuesday.
The shipment contains essential food items. It is intended for vulnerable populations suffering from a severe hunger crisis.
Sudan’s Humanitarian Aid Commission (HAC) accepted the delivery. Commissioner Salwa Adam Benya led the receiving delegation.
This airlift is the first part of a larger Italian aid package. The Italian government also announced a new "Italy for Sudan" initiative. This program will coordinate further deliveries of life-saving assistance across the country.
