A major bidding war has broken out over a novel that has not yet been published. Six major production companies fought for the television rights to the book.
The novel is called *Wet Ink*. It is written by London-based author Abigail Avis, 33. The story follows a housewife who uses Tupperware parties as a cover. She secretly shares erotic stories with her friends and neighbors.
The book is not scheduled for publication until spring 2027. However, television producers are already eager to adapt it.
Industry experts say this interest is part of a larger trend. Streaming services and production companies are actively seeking new works by female authors.
