A key witness has given new details in the investigation into the suspicious death of Güllü. Arif Ulu testified about phone calls between his daughter and a man named Selahattin Mert Barut.
Ulu claims that during these calls, Barut proposed that Ulu's daughter flee abroad with him. Ulu stated they rejected this offer. He added that after Barut insisted, they ended the communication.
Barut is a person of interest in the case. The expert investigation report into Güllü's death has now been completed, but its findings have not been made public.
