A volunteer network in Belgium is producing military drones for Ukrainian forces. These citizens are using workshops and 3D printers to build the unmanned aircraft.
The group operates secretly for security. Members, who are engineers and hobbyists, design and assemble the drones. They then send the finished units to the front lines in Ukraine.
Drones have become a key weapon in the war. They are used for reconnaissance, or gathering information, and for attacking targets. This Belgian effort provides Ukraine with a constant supply.
“We saw the need and we had the skills,” said one organizer, who remained anonymous. “This is our way to help defend freedom.”
The project is funded by donations. It highlights how modern warfare increasingly involves civilian-made technology.
