Xiaomi has launched a new top-tier smartphone designed to compete directly with Apple's best. The Xiaomi 17 Ultra focuses on superior camera performance, backed by a deeper partnership with German lens expert Leica.
The phone promises major improvements in night photography and overall image quality. Xiaomi claims it will "completely reshape the mobile photography experience."
Company President Lu Weibing stated the collaboration builds "future-proof optical technology." He presented side-by-side photo comparisons with rival phones, taken in dim Hong Kong light, to demonstrate the claim.
The move targets the premium market dominated by Apple's iPhone Pro Max. Xiaomi's strategy relies on Leica's prestige in high-end photography to challenge the current leader.
