A rescue helicopter has crashed on Mount Kilimanjaro, killing all five people on board.
The aircraft was flying to evacuate climbers in distress. The crash happened near two popular camps on the mountain's main climbing route.
Tanzanian police confirmed the incident. They said the helicopter was heading to the Kibo Hut and Barafu Camp area.
The cause of the crash is not yet known. An investigation is underway.
Mount Kilimanjaro is Africa's highest peak. It attracts thousands of climbers each year. Emergency rescue operations are common on its challenging slopes.
