A major vaccination campaign began in southern Syria on Wednesday. It targets students in the first and sixth grades across schools in Daraa city and the surrounding countryside.
Health officials say the campaign will benefit approximately 10,000 children. The effort is being run by the School Health Department of the Daraa Directorate of Education.
Ali al-Hariri, head of the department, confirmed the campaign's launch. The vaccinations are part of basic education health services in the region.
