Chuck Redd, a vibraphonist and drummer, made the decision after "President Trump’s name was affixed to the building’s facade." The naming was part of a congressional bill signed in 2016. Redd had performed his holiday concert at the venue for over a decade. He has not announced an alternative location for this year's event.
