President Donald Trump participated in a long-standing Christmas Eve tradition by joining a NORAD conference call with children tracking Santa Claus's journey.
The North American Aerospace Defense Command (NORAD) runs an annual program that allows families to call in for updates on Santa's location. President Trump took part in this event, speaking with children who were following the tracker.
During the calls, the president engaged in lighthearted conversation. He provided updates on Santa's progress and, in one exchange, humorously warned a child about Santa's "serious appetite" for Christmas treats.
The NORAD Santa tracker is a volunteer-run program that began in 1955. U.S. leaders have occasionally joined the calls in past years.
