The Turkish leader pledged his country’s “full support” for ongoing recovery efforts. The crash involved a Libyan Air Force training jet. It went down near the city of Misrata, killing both crew members. Libya has been divided by conflict for years. Turkey is a key supporter of the Tripoli-based government, which is recognized by the United Nations.
