Syria's Central Bank Moves to Halt Currency Rejection

The Central Bank of Syria (CBS) has officially confirmed that all Syrian pound banknotes currently in use remain valid legal tender. The announcement, made Wednesday, comes amid reports of some institutions refusing certain notes.
In a public statement, the CBS directed all financial and banking institutions to follow its rules for handling the national currency. The Bank instructed them to accept all circulating banknotes without exception.
