Two pro-Palestine prisoners have temporarily stopped a hunger strike that lasted nearly 50 days. They halted because their health was getting worse.
The women, Qesser Zuhrah and Amu Gib, are being held at HMP Bronzefield in Surrey. They refused food to protest a ban on the activist group Palestine Action.
A support group called Prisoners for Palestine announced the pause on Tuesday. The prisoners have now resumed eating.
They have promised to restart the hunger strike protest next year.
