Syria's emergency management minister met with the head of the Danish Refugee Council (DRC) in Damascus this week. Their goal was to strengthen cooperation on disaster response.
Minister Raed al-Saleh and DRC Country Director Lisa Jean held talks on Tuesday. They discussed joint work in emergency situations and support for recovery efforts.
The meeting emphasized the need to boost collaboration. Syria faces a long recovery from years of conflict and recent natural disasters, like the 2023 earthquake.
The Danish Refugee Council is a major humanitarian organization. It provides aid and protection to refugees and displaced people globally.
