Hunter Biden has publicly called his decision to join the board of a Ukrainian energy company a serious error. He made the statement during an interview on "The Shawn Ryan Show" on Monday.
Biden joined the board of directors of Burisma Holdings in 2014. At the time, his father, Joe Biden, was the U.S. Vice President overseeing Ukraine policy. The move drew immediate criticism and raised questions about potential conflicts of interest.
In the interview, Hunter Biden directly addressed the controversial decision. He stated that, in hindsight, accepting the board position was "absolutely a mistake."
The role at Burisma has been a central focus of political attacks against the Biden family for years. It was also a key part of the first impeachment trial of former President Donald Trump.
