Former U.S. President Donald Trump used Jeffrey Epstein's private jet on at least eight trips in the 1990s, according to a newly released document. This number is "many more times than previously has been reported," states an email from a New York prosecutor.
The email is part of a batch of documents about Epstein released by the U.S. Justice Department. Epstein was a convicted sex offender who died in jail in 2019.
The prosecutor's email, dated January 7, 2020, cites flight records. It notes the eight trips occurred before Trump's presidency.
Previous reports had suggested only one such flight. The document does not detail who else was on the plane or the purpose of the trips.
