British singer-songwriter Chris Rea has died at age 74. His family confirmed his death on Monday.
Rea was famous for his rock and blues music. His career lasted over four decades. His 1978 hit, "Fool (If You Think It's Over)," first made him famous in the United States.
However, he is best known globally for his 1986 song, "Driving Home for Christmas." The song becomes a holiday favorite every year.
Rea released more than 20 studio albums. He continued touring into the 21st century, building a loyal fan base.
