Poland's top diplomat says Russia is unlikely to risk a full-scale military conflict with NATO, arguing its army has been severely weakened in Ukraine.
Foreign Minister Radosław Sikorski stated that Moscow's military has been "drained" by the war. He said it would take years for Russia to rebuild its combat capabilities.
The assessment suggests a reduced immediate threat of direct confrontation between Russia and the NATO alliance. However, Sikorski and other Western leaders continue to warn of ongoing hybrid threats, like cyber attacks and sabotage.
