Two gunmen threw homemade pipe bombs into a crowd at Sydney's Bondi Beach during a shooting attack. The explosives, however, failed to detonate, according to new police evidence presented in court. The attackers, a father and son, also conducted firearms training in rural Australia before the incident. The court documents confirm the use of the improvised explosive devices (IEDs), which are makeshift bombs. Police say the devices were live but malfunctioned. The revelation shows the attackers were prepared with more than just firearms. The investigation into the attack is ongoing.
