Missing Hiker with Disability Found After Overnight Search in Yuen Long
A 28-year-old man with an intellectual disability was found safe on Monday morning after going missing overnight during a hike in Yuen Long. The man, surnamed Tang, disappeared on Sunday afternoon. His 57-year-old mother, surnamed Lee, reported to police at 5:22 p.m. that her son had gone off to relieve himself and did not return. The pair had been hiking in the Tai Tong area. Police launched a search operation. The Government Flying Service dispatched helicopters to scan the area overnight. Tang was finally located on Monday morning by an employee of the nearby Tai Lam Tunnel. He was found after being missing for more than 12 hours. Police confirmed he was not injured.
