Richard Osman's latest mystery novel, *The Impossible Fortune*, was the UK's bestselling book in 2025. It sold 391,429 hardback copies.
The book is the fifth in his popular Thursday Murder Club series. It led a year dominated by fantasy, mystery, and psychological thriller series in the sales charts.
In a notable trend, adult colouring books also saw a major comeback. Several colouring books for all ages reached the year's top 20.
