The last 130 children kidnapped from a Catholic school in Nigeria have been released. They are now safe with their families.
Gunmen seized the students from their boarding school in Kaduna state in November. The children were held for over four months.
Nigerian authorities have not named the kidnappers. Officials also did not explain how they secured the children's freedom. No details about a possible ransom or military operation were provided.
Mass kidnappings for ransom are common in Nigeria's northern regions. Armed groups frequently target schools, universities, and highways.
The release brings a hopeful end to a long ordeal for the students and their community.
