Israeli troops have conducted new raids inside Syria. The operation took place in the countryside of Quneitra province, according to Syrian state media.
Forces entered the villages of Ain Ziwan and al-Ajraf using nine military vehicles. They then established temporary checkpoints on the roads.
The Israeli military has not commented on the reported incursion. Quneitra is located in southwestern Syria, bordering the Israeli-occupied Golan Heights.
Such ground operations inside Syrian territory are rare but not unprecedented. Israel frequently conducts air strikes in Syria, saying they target Iranian-backed militant groups.
