Newly released photographs appear to show how the Duke of York, Prince Andrew, helped introduce Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell into British high society.
The photos were released by the U.S. Justice Department. They show the convicted sex offenders with the former prince at prestigious events.
One image shows Epstein and Maxwell hunting with Andrew at Balmoral, the royal family's Scottish estate. Another places them together in the royal box at Ascot, a famous horse racing event.
A separate photo shows Maxwell outside 10 Downing Street, the home of the British prime minister.
In another released picture, Andrew is seen lying across the laps of five people at Sandringham, another royal estate. Ghislaine Maxwell watches the scene.
The images suggest Andrew facilitated the pair's access to elite British circles. Epstein was a convicted sex offender who died in jail. Maxwell is serving a prison sentence for her role in his crimes.
