A Ukrainian soldier who lost a foot has been rescued from a combat zone by drone. The soldier, known by his callsign “Donbas,” could not be reached by ground vehicles. A drone flew 15 kilometers into the area to bring him out. The operation shows how drones are now being used for medical evacuations in areas too dangerous for other transport.
