Victims of Jeffrey Epstein condemned the U.S. Department of Justice on Friday for only partially releasing investigative documents. Their lawyers said they have been "repeatedly denied justice."
The documents were released under a law called the Epstein Files Transparency Act. It required disclosure by December 19. The law allows records to be withheld if they threaten investigations, national security, or victim identities.
While some survivors criticized the limited release, at least one said she felt "redeemed" by the documents. A deputy attorney general stated that more files will be released later.
