A delegation from Turkey's pro-Kurdish DEM Party has met with the ruling AK Party.
The meeting focused on discussions about the prison conditions of Abdullah Öcalan. Öcalan is the imprisoned founder of the Kurdistan Workers' Party (PKK).
The DEM Party representatives visited the AK Party headquarters in Ankara. They spoke with officials from the AK Party's human rights committee.
Observers expected the talks to cover a potential new "solution process." This refers to past efforts to resolve the long-running Kurdish conflict. Legal reforms were also on the expected agenda.
The DEM Party stated the visit was part of their "diplomacy and dialogue" efforts. The AK Party confirmed the meeting took place but did not give details.
