CHP Leader Declares: "The Days of AK Party Wins Are Over"

Main opposition leader Özgür Özel has declared an end to the ruling party's long electoral dominance. Speaking at a rally in Edirne, the head of the Republican People's Party (CHP) made a bold claim. "The days when the AK Party won elections and we lost them are finished," he stated. Özel also emphasized a message of national unity. He said everyone is a child of the Turkish Republic, regardless of their origin, faith, or ethnicity. He pledged that his opposition bloc, the Nation Alliance, would "stand up for this country." The rally in Edirne was the CHP's 76th major campaign event.
