King Charles and UK Prime Minister Andy Burnham will face protests when they arrive in Antigua's capital, St John's, for the Commonwealth leaders' summit next week.
Activists plan to use the meeting to demand that the UK confront its role in transatlantic slavery. Messages calling for reparations will appear on billboards, placards and T-shirts across the capital. A candlelight vigil will also be held for the thousands of Africans trafficked to Antigua and Barbuda during the slave trade.
Protesters say the message from the Caribbean is clear: slavery reparations is not an issue the UK "is going to be able to dodge".
