Starving residents of Oleshky, a Russian-held town in southern Ukraine, began evacuating on Friday. The operation is part of a joint relief mission by the two warring sides — the first of its kind in four years and eight months of war.
A local ceasefire, brokered by US First Lady Melania Trump, allowed an aid convoy to reach the town. Residents were then given the chance to leave.
