Turkmenistan's President Serdar Berdimuhamedov called on Turkic states to deepen economic cooperation, highlighting the Turkmenbashi port's role in expanding the Middle Corridor trade route.
Speaking at the Organization of Turkic States (OTS) summit, Berdimuhamedov urged closer ties between the OTS and the United Nations. The Middle Corridor is a trade route linking China to Europe through Central Asia and the Caspian Sea, bypassing Russia.
The Turkmenbashi port on the Caspian Sea serves as a key hub on this route. Berdimuhamedov said stronger OTS-UN cooperation would boost regional trade and connectivity.
