A group of major banks and Blackstone is assembling $63 billion in financing to buy artificial-intelligence computing infrastructure from chipmaker Broadcom. The plan: lease the equipment to AI company Anthropic.
The deal marks one of the largest financing arrangements yet tied to AI infrastructure. Banks and Blackstone will fund the purchase, while Anthropic gains access to computing power without owning the hardware outright.
Broadcom supplies the AI technology. Anthropic, an AI developer, will lease the infrastructure rather than buy it.
