A man suspected of shootings at two major American universities has been found dead, authorities announced Thursday.
The suspect, a Portuguese national, is believed to have carried out a mass shooting at Brown University. He is also a suspect in the killing of a Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) professor three days earlier.
Investigators say the two victims knew the suspect. All three had previously attended the same university in Portugal.
Police did not release the suspect's cause of death. The investigation into both attacks continues.
