The U.S. Department of Justice (DOJ) is preparing to publicly release a vast trove of documents related to the late financier Jeffrey Epstein.
A senior DOJ official confirmed the pending release of "several hundred thousand" pages. This action comes as the department faces a court-ordered deadline this Friday.
The documents are the remaining files from its investigation into Epstein’s sex trafficking network. Their release follows years of public speculation and legal pressure for full transparency.
Epstein was a convicted sex offender. He died in jail in 2019 while awaiting trial on new federal charges.
