The risk of new fighting between the US, Israel and Iran is growing, Bloomberg Economics chief emerging markets economist Ziad Daoud told Bloomberg This Weekend. He said this risk is helping keep oil prices high, even as energy shipments through the Strait of Hormuz recover.
Daoud told hosts David Gura and Christina Ruffini that the conflict could become a long-term stalemate. He said higher shipping costs, low stockpiles and rising regional tensions would continue to threaten global energy supplies.
