Unnamed sources told The Wall Street Journal on Thursday that the Starlink system appeared to work more normally shortly after a call between US President Donald Trump and Elon Musk the same day.
Starlink is owned by Musk, who also heads Tesla and SpaceX. Several unnamed sources told The Wall Street Journal that Musk personally ordered the restriction of Ukraine's access to Starlink. The newspaper also reported earlier this week that Musk and Trump discussed the matter in advance. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has said US authorities gave the order to block the network for a period.
Zelenskyy said earlier on Thursday that Starlink was still not working in Ukraine. He added that he hoped to speak with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio about the issue in the coming days.
