A major corruption investigation in Turkey has led to 49 people being sent to court, including a sitting mayor, a former mayor, and the current mayor's aunt.
Emrah Kozay, the Mayor of Çukurova, was among those referred to the courthouse. Also sent to court were Soner Çetin, a former mayor of the same district, and Sıdıka Şire, who is Mayor Kozay's aunt.
Authorities have not yet released further details on the charges. The case remains under judicial review.
