US President Donald Trump’s shift away from Ukraine has raised new questions about his relationship with Russian leader Vladimir Putin. On Wednesday, a top American envoy praised Putin as a “humanitarian.” Trump describes his dealings with Putin as part of a major deal that secured the release of American detainee Stephen Hubbard.
