Former NASCAR driver Greg Biffle, his wife Cristina, and their two children died in a plane crash in North Carolina on Thursday.
The crash killed all seven people on board the private aircraft. Authorities have not released the cause of the accident.
Biffle, 54, was a top driver in NASCAR's premier Cup Series for nearly two decades. He won 19 races and was often a championship contender.
The National Transportation Safety Board has opened an investigation.
