A koala in Brisbane, Australia, took an unusual detour on Saturday—a trip on a public bus.
The animal, named Peri by rescuers, was first spotted sitting on a busy road. A driver stopped to move it to safety. But instead of heading into the bushes, Peri climbed onto the parked bus.
It briefly rode along before wildlife rescuers could intervene. They collected Peri and gave it a health check.
The koala was unharmed. After its unexpected adventure, Peri was released back into suitable bushland away from traffic.
