More than three dozen US Congress members have had their offices targeted with envelopes containing white powder. The incidents come less than three weeks before the 3 November midterms, and federal agents are working to identify who is behind the campaign.
The latest target was Virginia Democrat Suhas Subramanyam. His district office in Leesburg was evacuated on Monday after an envelope with a suspicious substance arrived. He said the office was cleared quickly and added that "acts of political intimidation have no place in our country."
