Russia Rejects Ukraine Peace Talks, EU Says

The European Union's top diplomat says Russia is refusing to discuss a peace deal to end the war in Ukraine. EU foreign policy chief Josep Borrell stated that Moscow "continues to reject proposed terms" for negotiations. He shared the assessment after a meeting of EU foreign ministers. Estonian Prime Minister Kaja Kallas, known for her strong support of Ukraine, agreed. "We haven't seen any willingness from the Russian side to move or seriously talk about peace," she said. The statements indicate a continued deadlock. Western officials report that Russian President Vladimir Putin shows no interest in genuine diplomacy.
