Yemen Fighting Escalates as Houthis Report Saudi Strikes, Government Forces Claim Gains

Fighting in Yemen has intensified, with Houthi rebels reporting new Saudi-led airstrikes while government forces claim battlefield gains. The Houthis said the strikes hit several areas of the country. They did not give details on casualties. Government forces, meanwhile, said they had made advances against the rebels. They also gave no specifics. The two sides have fought for more than a decade. The conflict has killed hundreds of thousands of people and left millions relying on aid. Neither side's claims could be independently verified.
