Belgium's F-16s Bring Ukraine's Promised Fleet to 100—But Fewer Than 40 Are Flying

Belgium has delivered 10 F-16 fighter jets to Ukraine, bringing the total promised Western fleet to about 100 aircraft. However, fewer than 40 of these jets are currently flying.
The remaining aircraft will arrive in batches through 2029. Meanwhile, every mission against Russia's jet-powered drones pushes the jets already in Ukraine closer to major inspections abroad.
