Golfer Rory McIlroy has been named the BBC Sports Personality of the Year for 2025.
He received the prestigious award following a standout year where he won his first Masters Tournament and delivered key performances in Europe's Ryder Cup victory.
England rugby star Ellie Kildunne finished second in the public vote, with Formula 1 driver Lando Norris placing third.
The award ceremony was held in Salford, where contenders including footballer Chloe Kelly and McIlroy arrived ahead of the announcement.
